>>105062158>Yang fucking mauled the Twins in a 1v2 dude, how can you say they were in any way her superior in hand to hand, she didn't even use her Semblance, she adapted to Melanie's footwork and that was it for them>>105062321>What are we qualifying as "out-fought" here? Getting hit once or twice.
Rewatch the fight. They ruin her 2v1, she activates her semblance and uses it to barrage Miltia away. Melanie pushes her onto the defensive 1v1, Yang gets the one counter in and semblance boosts it so that it OHKOs her. She was not in control, especially not against Melanie.>He had a rocket launcher and even that did basically nothing
She gets into melee range and he beats the shit out of her and knocks her across the room. And then once again, she semblances, and only then is able to take him down--even then his reaction time against her is good enough that he yanks out hair while being hit.
She is consistently out-skilled by anyone even remotely trained in hand-to-hand. She just has a semblance that lets her completely ignore skill or regular strength and berserk straight through opponents.>>105062441
I doubt it. Merc showed in Vytal that he could beat her, very precisely, to within an inch of a specific aura level. I'm not sure why people try to downplay the fact that he was deliberately throwing the fight. If you actually watch the fight closely, even during the first half where he isn't "landing hits" he is completely in control, to the point that he breaks her guard three times and twice doesn't even bother to follow up on it. He's screwing with her, which becomes pretty clear when he jumps back into the ring and actually puts effort in, and she can't take an inch from him. There's really no reason he couldn't have easily kept her busy 1v1, even if she's improved, there's no way he's suddenly so far below her that he needed Em's help.
