Its one thing about harassment, its a completely different one when its you being affected by people calling a character a cuck. I think they’re only three examples, velvet bully, Weiss’s initial opinion on white fang (which probably wasn’t racially motivated), and this recent one where that one midget officer said something about Blake. That's what racism is. It's kind of annoying that what people's idea of what made racism such a insidious thing was just the outliers of violence. Those were bad yes, but the day to day life was a series of compounding issues.

My personal favorite is, you work six days a week to scrape by. It's not that you can't go into town because, they'll kill you, but you shouldn't bother because the only store that'll sell to blacks is full of crooks who'll bend you over, so if you want groceries you need to drive a day to another town. So no day off really.

I remember once I wrote a fanfic around season 2 about how RWBY got drafted to be commissioned officers in a conflict and how they endured the horrors of actual war. They were put in a regiment that was basically the Death Korps of Kreig from 40k and all had their own ways of coping with the horror. Ruby would suckle on her sisters breasts, which made her very uncomfortable. Yang would get all the solider dick she could. Weiss was a cold, hard bitch who rose up the ranks the quickest and commanded the firing line that executed Blake for desertion. She also lost an arm and a leg to an enemy shell.

Like, yay? Raven’s backstory is at least no longer the most anticlimatic backstory in RWBY history.

I could write an entire post(or series of posts) on how this kind of shit(and this trope) is extremely misogynistic and cliche and how this literally does not address Ozpin being a shady asshole at all, but I just…am so done with this shit.

I can’t wait till we get to Summer’s death flashback and find out the horrifying shocking creative truth that she was being sad and emotional woman and slipped on ice and hit her head and died…(because that’s the trend this show is setting up - sad and emotional women get emotional over things and cause problems while men are bastions of respect and wisdom trying to deal with it)

Honestly, I feel like with how fucking OP the Schnee semblance is and the fact that as you said, bad luck can be a semblance, anything within the realm of reason that isn't straight up god mode is acceptable. Personally, though, I think the bodyswaps being at random and completely out of their control (maybe something like it's more likely to happen when one of them gets really upset or something though) would be more fun.

It was shit compared to the others because it was almost all setup. The first scene was kind of funny until it went on for another five minutes, the next scene was pretty good and a long time coming, the scene after that was 100% unnecessary info but setup Ruby learning, and the last bit setup the next episode.

Ruby felt small, clutching the fabric of her skirt as she stood outside the room of her teammate. Things in the house had been tense for a while, and after both Ren and Nora stepped off into Argus to cooldown, it had left only her, Juane, and of course, the Reaper left at his sister's home. The Huntress cringed a little as she heard the murmurs of self-drive on behind that cracked door. She remembered the instant look of regret on Juane's face when Oscar had stormed out after their confrontation. True, the Arc had been in the wrong, as everyone else had been quick to drive into him, but that was just the straw breaking the camel's back today... It wouldn't do. To have come so far and start having everything fall apart like this-- not again. They even demanded Juane so here and sulk while everyone else formed a search party.

Slowly, Ruby pushed open the door to her friend's temporary room. "Juane... Juane are you alright?" She asked, letting it slowly creak open. From behind, she saw the boy, sitting on the bed, slumped forward. His armor rested with Crocea Mors on the far wall, and she got to see the rare sight of him in just his black hoodie.

The blonde night slowly turned his head. A hurt, self-hating gaze behind his eyes filled the Huntress will a longing ache. She didn't like seeing anybody that way... But especially not Juane. "Hey, Ruby..." Came a delayed, weak reply.

"Okay. Okay, no speech," Ruby cleared her dry throat, her words a little quieter than she planned. Ruby wrapped her arms around him, and squeezed.

The Huntress peaks up as him, red faced as her silver eyes glint in the light. Her fingers still clutching his hoodie, she pulls herself up onto him, one hand reaching away. Realizing the position of his hand , the embarrassed Arc began to pull his away from her hair-- only for Ruby to stop it with her own, pushing it back towards her face. Her eyes locked with his, Jaune's fingers cup her cheek softly. Goosebumps riddle the otherwise baby-smooth flesh, and the girl emits a soft sigh as he carresses her face under her guiding fingers.
