>>104754850Well, I think it's pretty telling that Inquisition quickly moves into the post mortem of the mage v. templar conflict instead of showing it at its hight, even though DA2 was nothing but set-up for that.
They didn't want to throw out the baby with the bathwater. And it's entirely possible that they had all these plot threads that went nowhere within it that they were always planning to address in Inquisition.
But from the way the entire thing was framed, Hawke was meant to be the Shepard of Dragon Age, a returning lead, but that fell completely through with DAII's less than glorious reception.
And seeing as how the key character of DA4 is going to be Solas, it seems like Bioware is always up for trying to force you into playing the DLC of the previous game, no matter what.
