I could kind of get Batman being in the league if he was there as someone who does detective work and knows how the streets work, but it makes no sense when they try to make him as powerful as the others just because they can. Or when he knows things or outshines characters who are better at something than him for absolutely no reason.

Continuing what I said, but saying Batman/Bruce Wayne has the command of a civilization because he’s a member of the ruling class, is like saying the same of Green Arrow/Oliver Queen for the same reasons. I know this is just a shitty anti-batman thread to bitch about batman (instead of a thread about something you like). But you actually have a point, Batman worked as a field leader with Martian Manhunter in the team. With MM the league can react at the speed of thought and was as fast and quick to react as batman's brain. Cyborg took away the teletransportation and also the tech reasons for batman to be in the team. Johns is an absolute moron, but we all know Cyborg got in to shield Hal.

It’s not an anti-Batman thread, it’s more of a ‘mortals fighting alongside gods is silly’ thread. And yeah, as you point out, Cyborg’s tech is beyond anything Bats could ever devise. Bats is solely on the team as tactician, when both Superman and Wonder Woman are perfectly capable of tactical thinking. Not to mention that Hal is an Air Force pilot, John Stewart was in the Marines, J’onn J’onnz is a manhunter, etc. The League has their pick of militarially trained types that think tactically on a constant basis while also being psychologically stable.
