You could say that about the entire Crime Syndicate. That short story in the summer/beach DC trade proved that a Earth 3 book would be fantastic. But in regard to Sea King, I like the idea of him recycling Arthur's edgy phase in the 90s what with the hook hand.

It was Johns attempt at giving Diana an evil mirror because he’s not aware that others have done it before him and failed. Or he is aware and doesn’t give a shit because he wants to put her in animated movies, tv, video games, etc for royalty checks.

I wish Johns had never gotten into Wonder Woman because Cold having a crush on her is the only good thing that came out of it. Amazo Virus was filler, Darkseid War ended up being shit, and his plot points for her (Grail and Jason) were shit.

The worst thing about Darkseid War is that now this stupid event has become a defining story for her. James Robinson used Grail and Jason extensively during his run, with the book being all about picking up the left-overs of the event. Hell, Wonder Woman was less important in the book than her new stupid twin brother. Orlando also had Wonder Woman using Superwoman's lasso. The new writer will use Grail as the big baddie too. Everything that happens in her book now has to deal with something from Darkseid War.

It's awful and it made me stop reading the book.

James Robinson said himself that Dan Didio came up to him and asked him to write Wonder Woman with the explicit purpose of turning the concept Geoff Johns introduced, that Wonder Woman had a twin brother she didn't knew because her mom threw him away for the sin of being born male, and work it into something big because it had been a year since that teaser at the tail end of Darkseid War and Didio felt fans deserved to be rewarded. The thing is, nobody was asking for this shit. So Robinson went and made this Jason and Grail the most important aspects of his run.
