>>103777973Working with the framework of Islam, the existence of mutants in of itself doesn't disprove the existence of Allah. So it's perfectly reasonable for a mutant who was raised Muslim and accepts on faith the existence of Allah and the necessity to submit to him, to also integrate the fact that they have mutant powers into their previously existing worldview.
At one point in the comics Dust articulates her worldview to X-23. She believes that her powers are granted to her by Allah so that she could accomplish things normal humans cannot, and there he has a purpose for her in doing so. She herself admits that while she may not be able to understand that purpose, she is content to believe there is one and that one day Allah will guide her to fulfill it.
X-23 on the other hand cynically responds that if Allah exists and everything is part of his plan, then he planned for her to be created by Weapon Plus, be born into a life of perpetual torment, be forced to kill her mother against her will, end up on the streets and as a prostitute, go after Wolverine and try to kill him, etc. Dust doesn't have a strong response to this.
