I'm aware that you're probably sick of this thread, but I know fuck all about comics/graphic novels (including what you're supposed to call them)
What does /co/ actually think of Watchmen? I can imagine it being the ITAOTS/NGE/Infinite Jest of this board (critically acclaimed/unique memeable personality behind it/memed a lot) but one thing that those other three have in common is that they're extremely polarising, you either love them or think they're pretentious trash. AFAIK Watchmen is generally agreed to be great. I know there will be contrarians and people who are sick of it but I was thinking it would be more like The Beatles/Radiohead/Ghibli/Orwell in that it's generally agreed to be good but overrated by Redditors. Is that about right? If so then what is the ITAOTS/Eva/Infinite Jest of /co/?
