>>102005261"Personal" is a tricky word when we're talking Mr Mind.
There's very little he can do on his own. His henchmen do the killing.
Hitler and Mussolini and Tojo were supposed to be his flunkies, so 186,744 is a severe undercount. WW2 was on and his supposed victims hardly counted as a rounding error.
>>102009360Binder and Beck went through a good portion of The Monster Society of Evil without any notion who Mr Mind WAS. They had no more idea than the readers did. He was just a voice on the radio.
They eventually opted for the most unlikely thing they could think of.
>>102009485He really was dead so far as Fawcett was concerned. He never appeared again.
After DC got the rights (but forgot to copyright CM's name) the Marvels and Sivanas all returned, unchanged, after decades in suspended animation. DC brought back Mr Mind with an explanation that, as an alien, electricity merely knocked him out. When he revived he hypnotized the taxidermist into making an imitation. THAT'S what went on display while he planned his comeback.
Pretty sure his ability to take control of a person by burrowing into their ear canal is also a DC innovation.
