The two things at their core have jack shit to do with each other, if not being outright opposite mentalities of each other ("It's okay for Xs to love Xs" vs "It's okay to love Xs, because I'm actually a Y trapped in an X's body"). Sure, there's the whole "gender =/= sexuality" bullshit shpiel, but that doesn't justify putting the two side-by-side.
Trying to unite these two different social acceptance movements was a recipe for disaster from the get-go. Now faggots are doomed to have their movement turned into even more of a joke, forever associated with delusional teens LARPing as animals, trannies and "genderfluids". Serves those fags right, too; hopefully this'll teach them that there is a limit to how tolerant and accepting you should be of one's identity issues before it actively starts to undermine your own credibility.
