>>100577693>ripping off of the anime magical girl styleThere are a few "magical girl style"s. There's ones for little girls, call it type A, that are little more than toy commercials full of drama and at least one henshin per episode. Sailor Moon and CCS are this type. Otaku like them too. There's also ones specifically for otaku, type B, that have more fighting and fanservice. Every precure after the first falls into this category. There's "post-madoka grimderp", type C, which basically involves 25 minutes of young girls suffering every week. Magical Girl Raising Project epitomizes this type in my mind. The west actually did it first, but only incidentally. Then there are two shows directed by the same man, seasons 1 of Nanoha and Madoka. They changed the scene by doing something different, becoming popular, then being infinitely bastardized, kinda like eva or some of Moore's work in comics. Nanoha turns magical girls into the Green Lantern corps. Madoka is eva for magical girls. Both have sequels that pander to the body pillow crowd, and add nothing to the story. Although A's and Strikers aren't actually terrible.
Regarding this show. It will almost certainly be an homage to someone's "favorite magical girls show", which will be Sailor Moon or Madoka. If that's all it has going on, it will suck. Just like webcomics in the early 00s.
