Can we talk about the bias against lesbians going on in this comic? Saying Willis is progressive is like saying Avatar (the blue people movie) is pro-Native American, when the whole movie shows "savages" needing help from a white man who becomes their greatest warrior immediately- and don't forget the white woman who was trying to set up a classroom for these "dumb savages", god forbid they have their own culture or anything. Same thing with Willis. On the surface level he has these lesbian characters, but what's he really saying?
Let's see what Ruth has been up to:
>Verbal assault x17
>Physical assault x5
>Underage drinking x6
>Drinking on a dry campus (regardless of age) x6
>Supplied alcohol to an underage student x4
>Broke into a student's dorm room x2
>Stealing private property x2
>Destruction of private property x2
>Sexual assault x1
>Sexual relations with a student (against campus policy) x3
>Is generally incompetent at her job (Couldn't solve that Becky was staying there right under her nose, failed to help at any stage of the Carla/Mary fight, Amber's dad, etc)
Yikes. Well that looks bad. How about Billie, she's gotta be better, right?
>Constant underage drinking
>Multiple accounts of physical and verbal assault
>Broken parental relationship
>Destructive behavior and severe lying
Oh jeez. Well, maybe now that Willis got some backlash for this crap, he'll have at least one balanced character?
>illegally staying in a dorm
>involved in a shooting in her first week
>broken parental relationship
>sexually assaulted her best friend
Well.. That's a start, I guess? It's better than the other two. But GOD FORBID you show a lesbian being a normal capable human being, right? God forbid they be anything but broken messes that constantly surround themselves with chaos.
>inb4 Willis brings up some randy that he puts in the background of 4 strips a year who he has now decided is a lesbian to try and save face
