I enjoyed Tomar-Tu as leader of the Darkstars. You could feel the resentment coming from him in every panel, and Hal and Kilowog's anger and disappointment felt very real to me.

An "Evil Lantern Corps" is nothing new, and neither is a fallen hero going Punisher, but I thought Tomar-Tu was a well-written example of both, and certainly better than all the zero-dimensional Cosmic Horror villains the Corps has faced lately.

Coming out of Planet Hulk, Hiro-Kala showed potential to be a great villain with a tragic (if convoluted) backstory and a powerset that could've made him a planetary threat.

Shame that he was written out of continuity through the Micro-verse of all places.

Yeah that sucks but it kinda makes sense since all of her stuff is gotten via backers. She's not going to make her own weapons. I think The Inventor got it worse. Should have stayed a bird instead of there being a ""real"" inventor that only got a page of screen time the first time around. He wasn't as interesting when he came back was clearly a subplot to "where is Kamala" arc.

I can only give credit to the design. It's a generic as shit devil, sure, but I feel like the Carnage eyes remaining in the shape of eyebrows is pretty good. I'm also a sucker for fangs/pointed teeth, so that already makes endears me more than classic gob.
