I check artist announcements on Pixiv/Twitter before and after doujin events. In most cases they'll start selling them through Tora No Ana or Pixiv's Booth service within a few weeks. Both sites only ship to Japanese addresses, so you need to use a proxy service. The most popular ones are pretty equal in speed/prices/reliability.

There's a few other stores that the artists may choose to sell their books through but it's pretty rare for BL stuff. The rest are resellers that don't support the artists in any way and at worst increase the prices to something ridiculous like 8x the original. It's best to avoid them when you can.
