That's a Buddhist name, not as "a name that's Buddhistic in origin", I literally mean that it works as those posthumous names that's merely symbolical and meaning-based that Japanese Buddhist priests assign, except it's meant to sound like a deity's.
Kongou Daijihishou Jizou Bosatsu translates as "Adamantine, crystal of great mercy, the Jizo bodhisattva".
Look, I'm not trying to sound antagonistic, so the point is that the meaning behind the name Kongou should definitely be conveyed in translation because it's entirely transparent in Japanese while also acting as a 'real' name because the gems don't know that, but Aechmea does, he literally explains it: if you don't feel like translating it (which I can't see why wouldn't be the case), one should at least explain it in a TL in every volume.
Dumb example but it's like using "Jesus Christ" without explaining that Christ isn't his name (although it's USED like one by apostle Paul) but is actually the translation of a title meaning Messiah. If you miss "Christ=Messiah" you lose a piece of the puzzle.
