You're implying I even give value to this succession war relative to the people of Kakin. For all of Nasubi's posturing wisdom, how does this benefit the people of Kakin at all? Based on the snippets of details we've gotten, it's clear there are no real political rights in Kakin, it's all subordinated to a single party, puppet parliament and the royal autocracy with no true democracy in any meaningful sense, countless live in poverty. And now, the entire ruling aparatus of this country, which complicitly includes huge ties with various Mafia organizations and the set-up of a death game between various wings among itself, and (based on flashbacks/world-building surrounding Halkenburg and the Prince/Queen system) there does seem to be real unrest and calls for reform/revolution in Kakin among the people. Honestly, in terms of what's best for Kakin, perhaps the Black Whale sinking or at least the surviving royals (if there are any) staying on the fake Dark Continent or the real one, would be by far for the best.
Now, granting all that, even among the candidates, I would never think giving a crazed psycopathic murderer, raised in the context of this monarchical farce, would be anything, ANYTHING approaching a positive "leader" for Kakin. And even then, can a King really be said to be the leader of the people they nominally represent?
