Man, it's interesting/weird to think of how we've all been experiencing this week by week, in batches/rounds.
2012 ended with 340 in march, kicking off the DC intrigue with Nasubi and Beyond's announcement, some Zodiac and Pariston stuff, that was before I was weekly. 2014's summer round was all more Dark Continent set-up and it was pretty exciting honestly. I was watching 2011 in early 2014, caught up to the anime at the end of the Chimera Arc (throughout school breaks I'd binge arcs - I remember watching first 3 episodes right around New Years, devoting Feb break to the whole Hunter Exam and Zoldyck Family, April to Heaven's Arena and Yorknew, June to Greed Island and then right into CA and those 60+ eps were probably the most anime/show I've consumed in such a period of time ever) I wasn't following the manga then, but just based on how many fans were getting into the series, I saw the conversation around the DC stuff, Pika and Leorio's return, the Kakin princes, it was cool. After I finished 2011 as it was airing weekly, by then the hiatus had long set in, and for that reason I actually waited until sometime in 2015 to read those first 10 DC chapters, and even then I might've stopped before really digging in with a reread in 2016 weeks before the return.
2016 was pretty much Hisoka vs Chrollo and the beginning of the voyage, getting Kurapika into the Oito squad. 2017 was July-September and was the aftermath of le Sayrid stabbing all the way till Momoze's death, nen classes with Pika, and Silent Majority mystery. Low and behold, HxH is back in early 2018, January, pretty quick desu. And now again since the end of September 2018.
It's weird...that became far too long of a tired and nostalgic rant no one fucking cares about - sorry
