>>179063875>Which has destroyed more farms and forced the human civilization to abandon farmland, ogres, dragons, demon lords and elder gods, or goblins?
Goblins. >What's currently causing the human civilization to collapse in upon itself?
Nothing at all? Have you even read the LN? Human civilization is absolutely intact and extremely effective at handling itself well. >
Was it demon lords or goblins that almost caused the loss of the capital city, resulted in nearly a quarter of the capital city's population being killed or raped then killed, and the loss of the entire merchant quarter along with the capital's food supplies?
There was an entire dark magic cult that was manipulating events from the shadows and using an extremely high-powered artifact in order to attempt to destroy the capital city. They used "goblins" because being attacked by a few of those little useless runts would do literally nothing, and not warrant any kind of immediate response from the kingdom PRECISELY because they are useless, and because the immediate threat of hordes of demons and actual dragons are being actively battled off by all of the major Platinum adventurers, nobody felt the need to bother pursuing worthless Goblins. Every single thing that has gotten close to destroying civilization are machinations from significantly greater problems in the world. A Dark Elf summoned a Hecatoncheire after leading a massive goblin army to eradicate a village. Farmland is still being cultivated, agriculture is still important, and territories are not at all diminishing in the setting, and if they are, it's because the frontlines with the REAL threats are pushing humankind back.
