The anime really had a weird tendency to turn everything into a new transformation. While normally Vegeta would simply get stronger with no explanation needed (we had those rage boosts back in the day), they pulled Super Saiyan Bluer out of their asses; and it clearly didn't impact the script. No one else will use it, it was just to make Vegeta on Kaioken's level (and they didn't need an excuse, Vegeta had trained more than Goku by that point remember he's the one who beat Rose).
Also that reminds me, they had Vegeta transform to beat "GoD Toppo"... when Toppo was always said to ALREADY be GoD level. That wasn't supposed to be a transformation. You don't get to an arbitrary powerlevel and suddenly mutate, I doubt the clown or Beerus or Champa went through that, you simply get strong enough and that's it you get offered the job.
It was dumb having the already GoD Toppo suddenly transform, but I understand they had to sell Vegeta and Toppo toys so whatever.
And then Ultra Instinct which, again, is supposed to be a technique, ended up just looking like Super Saiyan Blanco and gave Goku a massive powerboost when he couldn't even hurt Jiren before. And Jiren threw his shirt off and got Ultra Instinct Red or something, which will be treated as a "Full Power" transformation on the games and merchandise mark my words.
