nah the idea is that in "MUH PATRIARCHY" the youth of women is fetishized while men can be of any age and still be a sexual or romantic object. Anyone reading only the synopsis would have good reason to worry about the premise (and SJWs wait to see how things are implemented).
However, I disagree that anyone watching the show would go SJW meltdown. It's all from her perspective, she's the active pursuer, it's her sexuality (sort of) that you see developing and 80% of it is her POV. It's all about her feelings for him and really how that obsession is mostly driven by diverting her obsession for running into another outlet.
That or, like many this season, they just didn't watch it so they didn't react
