Without memeing or attempting to be rude, what do you find appealing about Goku vs. Jiren? I can't get invested, because both characters feel unappealing to me. I don't like the way that Goku became dumber in Super; sure, he was dumb before (letting Vegeta and Frieza live, Senzu Bean to Cell, etc.), but it feels dialed up so much more now. Goku goes to fight a God-tier enemy but forgets the Senzu Beans in the bathroom? And then forgets the Mafuba seal afterwards?
Meanwhile, Jiren is just a generic alien antagonist who exists to be a brick wall for the heroes to overcome. Which is basically every enemy in the series ever. Nothing particularly sets him apart for me as interesting because the only thing the characters hype is his power level. If there is another arc of the series, it's inevitable there will be a guy after him with a bigger one that everyone latches onto.
The fact that End of Z will likely still happen and the writers magic away battle damage/fatigue Goku should have also takes away any feeling of stakes, and then there's the fact that major moments in the arc just feel like a retread of Goku vs. Frieza.
