Hinowa pretty boring to me thus far compared to how Akame started. And that's even ignoring ironic enjoyment gotten from the sheer edginess of the first few Akame Chapters.
Hinowa is just, really bland. The supporting cast thus far is pretty goddamn boring, both in design and personality. The first couple chapters of Hinowa doesn't have any standout pages like pic related. Upon reading Akame for the first time, despite not being sold on the premise thus far, this page was pretty hype. You see this little group standing on string in the moonlight looking all ominous like and badass and shit. The reader will see these nifty looking motherfuckers and will at least be interested in learning more about them and see them in action.
I literally couldn't give a fuck about nigger Akame, who is presumably the main villain for this series. At least Akame dropped cartoonishly evil villains right off the bat, and those actually left an impression on you.
