>>142159340>he doesn't really need that prep time to be a deadly threat
A deadly threat to faggot scrubs who we'll never hear from again, sure. But clearly, he's regretting not thinking ahead in this fight. Chrollo is so far ahead of Hisoka's previous opponents it isn't even funny. So, we can't use them as a basis for how good Hisoka truly is.
Making preparations beforehand doesn't make you an inferior fighter, it makes you a superior one. Hisoka's been blindly falling into Chrollo's traps left, right and centre in this fight and look what happened, he's become the prey to Chrollo's predator. >because he clearly doesn't have many tricks left. Hisoka will adapt to losing that hand, and what then? Hisoka's figured out most of his convoluted plot in minutes.
You have no idea how many tricks Chrollo has left up his sleeve and Hisoka hasn't been adapting well to Chrollo's tactics at all. He hasn't figured out the plot, he thought he did, but then even he admitted that he's been getting strung along by Chrollo every step of the way up to that point.
Honestly, Hisoka's kind of a dumbass for not taking Chrollo seriously enough. And if he dies, that'll be the reason why.
