Far from it now, though the whole point was that she's an incredibly socially impaired girl with /r9k/ tier severe communication anxiety. Part of the series drive is Komi overcoming it.>The MC isn't romantically assertive but there is romantic signalling going on coming from the girl
There's clear signalling from both sides, but both are awkward highschoolers and one half has a literal communication disorder so it's progressing as fast as it can. They are still well ahead of many other 'romance' leads that don't have half the excuses.>The MC is pretty bland with no real strong convictions, opinions, ambitions or anything else that would really define him as a person
Tadano is unironically a Chadano, a massive cute and doubting him is a sin.>The main girl doesn't have any major bonds with anyone else in the show to the same extent as the MC>show
Excusing that, again the series is about Tadano and co breaking her out of her shell, later chapters are Komi with whole other groups learning to get along after her baby steps.>She, much like the MC, doesn't have that much characterisation and agency besides her dependent nature to the MC
Most egregious of all. Komi expresses more character and agency than many romantic leads>The MC doesn't really have any character-defining personality flaws besides some minor quirks that are played off for gags
This I'll grant, though Chadano is supposed to be the ideal help for someone with anxiety and someone with great empathy and self control is ideal.
You should read it anon.
